Kiwi Spouting offers a solution to this. Ordering a spouting clean is as easy as booking online. By using our purpose-built spouting cleaner we can clean your spouting safely, without the use of ladders or needing to go onto your roof. Our spouting cleaning prices are easy to see and allows us to clean your spouting without any surprises.
We recommend cleaning your spouting every 6-12 months depending on your house location.
Clean, obstruction-free spouting is an important part of a dry, damp free healthy home. The New Zealand Government has implemented a Healthy Home Standard which includes clean spouting as a part of the drainage and guttering section.

How it Works
Kiwi Spouting use a specially designed spouting vacuum that allows us to remove water, leaves and other debris from your spouting without the need for us to get on your roof possibly damaging it or without the need for dangerous ladders. A Kiwi Spouting spouting clean removes blockages allowing your spouting to drain correctly resulting in a dryer and healthier home.
Once you decide that you want Kiwi Spouting to clean your spouting all you need to do is Book Now! that's it. When booking a spouting clean you will indicate when you want your spouting cleaned. Kiwi Spouting will email you a few days before your cleaning is booked, with an indication of what day and an approximate time your spouting will be cleaned. You do not need to be home while your spouting is being cleaned. Kiwi Spouting will measure your spouting while we are there and once your spouting is clean you will be sent an invoice via email.

Spouting cleaning is charged on a per-metre basis starting at a minimum of $100 for a single-story house and $125 for a two-story house. All prices include travel and GST. To work out how many metres your spouting is you can step it out. Approximately one step is one metre.

Do I need to be home during my spouting clean?
No. When you book a Kiwi Spouting spouting clean you specify what month you want your spouting cleaned or ASAP. Once Kiwi Spouting has organised the schedule you will receive an email with the date and an approximate time of day. You do not need to be at home, Kiwi Spouting doesn't need to enter the house and we don't require access to your house's power.

Kiwi Spouting remove and dispose of all the leaves, dirt and other debris from your spouting.

Houses that are a mix of one and two stories get charged by how many metres are on the first floor and how many are on the second floor.
For example, if your house has 30 metres on the first floor and 20 metres on the second floor you will be charged $103+$83=$186 Because the total job is greater than 30 meters the minimum charge is not applicable for the second story.

Kiwi Spouting recommend that you clean your spouting once a year minimum. For houses that are surrounded by lots of trees or for properties that collect rainwater, we recommend that you clean your spouting every six months.

Kiwi Spouting measures each job while we are there and that is what you are charged. If you are worried about getting a surprise once your spouting has been cleaned you can request a free measure and quote.

Due to the nature of how Kiwi Spouting cleans your spouting, we don't offer spouting cleaning to people that have leaf/gutter guard installed.
In most cases, Kiwi Spouting does not recommend leaf/gutter guard as it makes it harder to clean and it is not a maintenance-free solution as silt, small leaves and seeds still can go through.

Kiwi Spouting will try our best to clean all areas of spouting. Sometimes we cannot reach all areas of your spouting due to a pergola, conservatory, etc. You will not be charged for any areas that have not been cleaned.

Kiwi Spouting can clean spouting with an opening as little as 30mm from the end of the roof to the face of the spouting.

To follow health and safety regulations Kiwi Spouting cannot go any closer than 4 meters to your house's powerline. This is following Section 9 of NZECP 34. Any areas unable to be cleaned due to powerlines won't be charged for.
